Due to its success over the past few weeks, Steve will be hosting a Bridge quiz every Friday at 8pm over on our Facebook page.

To take part all you have to do is go to the Bridge Facebook page. You do not need to sign up to Facebook to play. Have a pen and paper ready to record your answers and have a friendly challenge against others. Hope to see you there!

Now is a good time to try a cycle ride or local walk. Click here to view a route recommended by Chris.

S2S

Substance 2 Solution buildings in Northampton, Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough are now open from 10am – 4pm.

The telephone helpline – STAR – 0808 169 8512 - is open from 9am – 5pm.

S2S are not offering our face to face Open Access service because of the need to social distance from each other. Instead they are encouraging service users wishing to access treatment to make contact with the service by calling 0808 169 8512. They will then arrange for a recovery worker to call them back and carry out an assessment over the phone.

S2S are still offering needle exchange from their sites between the hours of 10am – 4pm, but with some changes to ensure they are following social distancing guidelines. If possible people should phone ahead before they attend for needle exchange.

S2S have had to make some changes to how they prescribe medication to their service users and they have communicated with them about this. If anyone has any concerns regarding their medication they should call them on 0808 169 8512.

All groups have been cancelled until further notice.

S2S are not able to run our ambulatory detox because of social distancing guidelines. Many residential rehabs are closed at the moment. Anyone needing alcohol support should call 0808 169 8512, they will then arrange for a phone assessment to be carried out. They will deal with people who require prescribing or detox / rehab on a case by case basis.

Northampton Town Football Club have set up a virtual running club to encourage fans, community participants and staff to all join. If you’ve recently taken up running, been running for a while or even want to try and get out for the first time, please do feel free to join and share.

The idea behind the group is to build a community that can motivate each other to stay active particularly during the lockdown and at a time of social distancing. The club hope most of all it’ll be a bit of fun too! Longer term they are hoping to encourage people who enjoy football to take up challenges and fundraise for them.
