With the crackers still popping and friendships still forming from the Christmas Dinner, the Bridge Christmas party was set to go off with a bang! And that it did, on 19th December with celebrations, culinary delights and companionship.

Who knew that the Christmas Karaoke, would turn out so many secretly talented singers and professional disco dancers?

Surprise!... We had members strutting their stuff on the dancefloor like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, and others who could give Mariah herself a run for her money!

It was a terrific turn out, with members showing the staff up in our general knowledge quiz, beating the balls in bingo, and reigning victoriously in the raffle.

We saw some splendid fancy-dress outfits, and the Bridge Choir sang their songs with gusto, bringing a sense of soul to all who heard.

The food was fabulous as always, and no-one left that day without a smile on their face!

Steve's DJing skills saw a full floor for much of the day, and staff and volunteers truly enhanced the equality that makes Bridge the place that it is for its members.

Special thanks to all the external agencies that attended our event: Northampton Borough Council, S2S, Voluntary Impact, MIND and Lowdown. Also, thank you to Terry and Karen from S2S who got involved in our photobooth!

From my time at Bridge so far…It really was 'the most wonderful time of the year'.
