Russ won the first game by 10 points (339 - 319) and Wes came back winning the second game by 15 points (325 - 310).
And so to the third and final game. Wes played very well early on out-scoring Russ by 45 points with 14 tiles remaining. Russ then put down a scrabble (7 letter word) with "Landees" scoring over 70 points in one go. Wes decided not to challenge so it stayed on the board making Russ the winner.
However, as Jess, the referee, said after the game this word is not in the dictionary, Russ was very lucky winning by default. But if you do not challenge nothing can be done.
